Is there any way to recover a deleted partition off of a hard drive? I accidentally deleted a partition and really don’t want to restore from a backup if I can reasonably avoid it.

A whole partition? You mean like you have the drive partitioned into 2, and then deleted the partition so you only have 1 now, and you want to restore it?
That would be very difficult. If you have a backup, then why not use it? Even recovering a few files is difficult, let along a whole partition.
When you go to finder and then on the left side where it says "Search For" I accidentally erased it. How would I get it back? Thanks for your time!
In the Finder, go to Finder, Preferences, Sidebar. Then check a box next to at least one of the "Search For" options.
