I have an iPod Touch purchased about 6 months ago. It’s running on version 4.1. Up until a week or so, whenever I played music the volume control appeared on the bottom of the screen and a sliding bar on top of the screen indicated what part of the song you were listening to. It also showed how long the song was and how much time was remaining.
For some reason, the bar on top of the display indicating how much time remaining until the end of the song is no longer there. The only thing on top of the screen is the name of the song and artist.
How can I restore the initial setting I referred to above? I went into Settings, General, Music, Lyrics & podcast info and switched that to off, but doesn’t seem to help. I even reset the Touch to factory settings and it still didn’t do the trick.
Any thoughts?
Thank you,
Bob

On my iPhone I see this if I tap in the middle of the screen. Tapping will show and hide the progress bar.
That's so epic. I was so mad when it disappeared for me. I'm so dumb....
Don't feel like the Lone Ranger....I couldn't figure it out either.
You, Gary, are an absolute Genius! I tapped the middle of the screen as you said and the progress bar appears!
Thank you very much! I really appreciate it! :)
Best regards,
Bob P,
That happened to me to but then I figured out the tappy Thingy in the middle and I was happy again :)
Thanks! This just happened to me, and I couldn't figure out how to fix it!
Thanks, the Ipod forum admin is telling people to reset their whole iPod…
