I have been using Catalina 10.15.5 for awhile. I have enjoyed using Shift Command 5 to take a screenshot. Now, when I press Shift Command 5, the capture button is now a record button. It will take a video. How do I get it back to capture, not record so I can take only a photo?

When you use Command+Shift+5 you get a control with about 7 buttons on it. The first three are for screen capture (images: screen, window, portion) and the next two are for screen recording (video: screen, portion). Then there is an Options button, then there is a Capture button. Well, at least it is a "Capture" button if you have one of the first three screen capture options chosen. If you have one of the two screen recording options chosen, it changes to "Record."
So in your case, it sounds like you have simply selected one of those record buttons instead of one of the capture buttons.
