    Do you mean tab stops? The horizontal markers that determine where the following is placed when you insert a tab? (Adding tabs is easy -- just press the Tab key)

    To add tab stops, or at least better define then, you turn on the horizontal ruler at the top of the window and then click and drag in that ruler. I have a video on that here: https://macmost.com/pages-rulers-basics.html.
