Everything works fine till the network selection….I can not find my wifi network within the list (i can see my neighboors’ ones…)

I'm missing some information here. You say, "I can not find my wifi network within the list." So, which list? Your Mac's wifi list? The list inside of Airport Utility? Somewhere else?
Also, what is you network? Is it an Airport Extreme? Time Capsule? Something else? Do you have it configured to hide its network name, perhaps? Or maybe it is set to be 802.11n only and you are using a 802.11g Airport Express?

So are you using your Mac as a wifi network? Or are you using an Airport Express or some other router (the topic of this page is Airport Express, so I'm not sure).
If you are trying to do it with your Mac, I would just start from scratch. "Create a Network" in the WiFi menu and start over. Try different options and settings, etc.

Uhhhmmmm... it sounds like you are looking in the airport drop down from the task bar on your Mac. You say its not showing your network but is showing the neighbours. If this is the case then its probably your router set to NOT advertise the network. If so choose the join other network option (I think its called that - I'm typing <> from a windows PC) and type in the network name and follow the prompts.

With Snow Leopard problems are gone. Together with Lion.
