Apple Wireless Keyboard With iPad 2 At the Same Time

I have one Apple wireless keyboard for my computer. Can I use it for the iPad 2 at same time?

No. Bluetooth devices are "paired" with their parent. So it only sends signals to one device at a time. So you have to disconnect from the Mac and then establish a connection with your iPad. It is a bit of a pain to do each time, and you definitely can't do both at the same time (think of what would happen!)

This might have a little bit to do with this topic. I looked at the iPad keyboard on a lot of sites, and took screen shots. It was identical to the Apple wireless keyboard.
It was the same size, and the keys were the same, because i was going to buy one.
One site sent me an email to confirm that it was not compatible with an iMac. I bought a Targus Bluetooth mouse, and it was that good i bought another one. It ended up one mouse was controlling the two computers. Yes you are right, you cannot do both at the same time. I have just tried it. Gary
