I recently downloaded Handbrake to import my dvd collection into my computer. The download was successful, but the icon in the applications folder on the dock doesn’t properly display the icon. It displays a circle with a line thru it. However in the finder and on the dock the icon is correct. I was wondering how to fix the one incorrect icon in the applications folder on the dock. It isn’t that big of a deal but the icon makes the application stand out a little more when trying to find it in the folder.

Applications folder in dock not displaying correct icon

I see what you mean. It must be something the developer did when creating the application. Perhaps it is missing some key graphic needed to render the icon at that size. Not too much we can do about it from an end-user standpoint.
It happens sometimes with me and somehow, once I open the application from the folder by clicking the circle, it stops being that circle and line thereafter. Try it?
Once it's been "refreshed" in some way the icon emerges. Don't know why it happens to some apps but not others.
This happens to me all the time when I install a new application, all you have to do is drag the Applications Folder off the Dock, then open up a Finder window, and drag the Applications Folder back down there from the Finder, and it seems to "reset" the images in the stack
I have this same problem all the time. This solution worked for me.
Thank you!!
Thank you. It worked.
