I'm not familiar with Visio, so I can't say what graphics programs would be like it. But there certainly are many. Try searching the Mac App Store from "drawing" or "graphics" and you'll come up with a lot. Read the descriptions and see which one fits your needs the best.

How about Graphic Design Studio from Macware?

You should have a look at OmniGraffle. Excellent piece of software. There is an iPad version too.

OmniGraffle is very similar to Visio. It is in the Mac App Store in two versions, Standard and Pro (the Pro version can import and export to Visio), and there is also an iPad version, although there are some other iPad options, like TouchDraw.

Omnigraffle is the best Visio like program on the mac.
If you don't need to import or export to Visio, take a look at te open source Gliffy.

Why not run your Visio program in Windows using Bootcamp or VMFusionware or equivalent? No need to buy software or learn a new interface. I use MS-Access for Windows on my iMac and MBP all the time and it works perfectly.

When I switched to a Mac about 8 months ago, I found Lucidchart to be the best Visio alternative. It can import/export Visio, is web-based and therefore cross-platform, and is very Apple-esque in its design.
