Cable or Satellite Provider Not Listed on Apple TV?

Our TV provider, Norvado in northern WI, is not listed in Apple TV to activate a Apple tv app. They say I should contact Apple. Any idea how to start the process or should our provider set it up?

Try http://www.apple.com/feedback/appletv.html. But I would also try contacting your provider. It may be that they have a parent company or relationship with another company that will allow you to have access to that app's content. If not, at least you can let them know you want that.

I did contact our provider, they said they do not have a contract with Apple and that I should contact Apple. I have no idea where to start with this and I think it would be their best interest and responsibility not mine. I'll let u know what happens if ur interested.

Gary: I think the problem comes down to the fact that there are too many small cable companies that use their own custom user ID databases. It would be hard to list them all. And it is up to the app developers not Apple to do it each time.
But you say it should be "their best interest and responsibility" -- indeed, this was something they announced back in June. Apple TV will eventually get a feature where you can do a single sign-on for your cable provider that all apps can access. Once that feature is in place, then Apple will have an easier time working with small cable providers as then each individual app developer doesn't have to implement it themselves.
