I recently read somewhere that Mojave will only run on desktop computers that are 2012 or newer. Is that correct? I have a mid 2010 iMac but I did add a new SSD drive about a year ago. Thoughts?
Thank you!

Apple has a list of exactly which Macs are compatible with Mojave: macOS Mojave - Technical Specifications .
Swapping out the drive doesn't make any difference. Operating systems need the processor, GPU, internal bus, memory types and many other things that can only be obtained by having a Mac that meets those requirements.
Thanks so much for your quick reply, Gary! I’m a little bummed that I won’t be able to use Mojave but my computer is running great so I’m not in a hurry to replace it. I’m using Sierra right now - would you suggest I download High Sierra or could I run into some problems there as well? Love reading your newsletters - I’ve learned a lot from you over the years!
Thanks again!
Sandy: High Sierra has been out for a year + and has several new features and improvements.
