I imported my Outlook Contacts file to Address Book. During the conversion, all 5,000+ contacts were given the seemingly arbitrary birthday of November 30. Is there some way to delete all the birthdays without having to edit each contact individually? I do not need or want the birthday field at all.

There's no way I know of to do it. What I would do, since 5000 is a lot, is to export them all into a spreadsheet using the third-party program that does it and then manually delete the birthday column before importing. Maybe there is a way to do that with the raw Outlook export you did? Or, maybe try exporting from Outlook again with different options?
