Flash Player video not working

I am running the latest version of Safari on my MacBook and just the other day Flash player quit working properly. I have uninstalled and reinstalled Flash on my computer, but when I go to a website such as Youtube it only plays the audio with no video. Even more compelling is in Youtube the video will display when the picture is set to full screen.
I have contacted Apple, repaired permissions, and searched the web endlessly for a solution.
Any suggestions?

Uninstalling and installing Flash would be my suggestion, but you have already tried it. What version of Flash are you installing and where are you getting it from, exactly?
Have you tried other Flash content? Having it play the audio, but show no video is very odd.
Have you tried it in Chrome or Firefox just to check?

I have version 10.1.102.64 from Adobe that I just installed today for one of my attempts to fix and just for good measure I restarted my computer.

I have also tried other websites such as Pandora and ESPN, but it's the same story with only the audio and no video.

Just to narrow down the problem to flash I also downloaded Google Chrome to try the same websites, and they worked. So I know the problem is Flash not Safari right?

If it worked in Chrome, then the problem is Safari, not Flash. Because Flash is clearly working in Chrome.

You're right! It must be Safari. I just finished completely uninstalling Safari and Adobe Flash deleting them completely from my computer and re-downloading and reinstalling them. Very interesting....

I wonder who's job it is to fix this problem since Apple and Adobe don't see things eye to eye as they used...

At this point what do you suggest? "Report the bug to Apple" per Safari?

Love the Podcast by the way Gary. Good stuff. It has taught me a lot of tricks I didn't know about Macs.

If you want to report the problem, I would do it on the Adobe side.
            Thanks!

The problem "may" still be flash ( I have seen this problem on windows - yes, I know...). It may not be plugging in properly and the reinstall is not fully deinstalling so the reinstall simply repeats the problem.
Try this link for instructions to fully unistall whatever flassh in on your computer. Then install a fresh copy.

I believe OS X new update came out with a Flash fix just recently.
