How Can I Change the Date Modified Format?

Is there any way to change the Date Modified “format” on a Mac? By default it spells out the whole month and uses “at” like:

September 24, 2018 at 22:14

Can we change it to the Windows date format:

9/24/18 10:14pm

Or better, make it:

9/24/18 22:14

Takes up less column space

You can change the date format in System Preferences, Language & Region, then click the Advanced Button. Go to Dates and then you have a lot of options. Note that in the Finder the space the date column has available will determine if it uses the short, medium, long or full date format. So you have a lot to change depending on exactly what you want to do.
