How Can I Interactively Edit a Slide While Presenting With Keynote?

I am using keynote to teach class.

I would like to play my keynote slide deck, but pause the deck at various points to get feedback from students.

Is it possible pause the keynote play, edit the slide in real time, then resume the play *without* stopping presentation
mode? (This is what I do now — I stop the slide, edit the slide to include student feedback, then resume thepresentation)

I would like to have keynote, at times, behave like a blackboard.

No, you can't edit the presentation while it is playing. The best you can do is to show the slide in editing mode, but without the menu bar, tool bar, etc. so it looks nearly identical to how it would look in playback mode.
