How Do I Could Add Automatic Caption In Figures or Tables?

I have a 13” MacBook Pro (2018). I am trying to add automatic caption in figures or tables in order to insert a table of tables and figures for my research project.
I do not find any option to number each figure or table in an automatic way.
Is it possible to do this in Pages just as it could be in MS Word?
Any suggestions?

Not sure what you mean but "automatic." You can put text boxes anywhere you like. So put a text box under a table or image when you need it.

If you are often using the same arrangement, like am image at a certain size with a caption under it, you can always select both items, copy and paste, and then change the image and caption text to make things easier.

Hi, thanks for the prompt response. When I say automatic, I refer to put the correct number of the caption respect to the other in the document. For example, it would be the figure/table 1 if it was the first of the document, and would be the figure/table 3 just in case I reordered it. Thanks in advance.

Vicente_inefo: Ah, numbering. No, there is no automatic way to have numbers appear in captions like that in Pages.
