How Do I Download Purchased DVD’s To My iMac Desktop Computer?

mac OS Sierra Version 10.12.1

I would like to download my dvd’s to my computer and put them in iCloud. Is this possible and how do I do that? I have all of my music in iCloud. If this is possible, will I be able to watch them on my iOS devices and my Smart TV?

Thank you Gary, I enjoy reading your tips, and appreciate you being there to answer my questions!

To import DVDs, you need to use an app like Handbrake. I have an old video on that here: http://macmost.com/importing-dvd-video.html. But of course that assumes you have an old Mac with a DVD drive. Otherwise, you'll need to get an external USB DVD drive.
But that just gives you a video file you can play on your Mac. To get that to your iOS devices, you would need to use iTunes to transfer it to those devices while they are connected to your Mac. So make sure when you import it that is in a format that will work on iOS devices.
To get it to play on your Smart TV -- it will depend on the Smart TV and lots of factors. I can't really advise you there. You'll need to read the TV docs and perhaps consult with others who have done it with your particular TV model.
As for iCloud -- that's not something you would normally do. I suppose you could put the video files on iCloud Drive and then access them that way, but it would take up a lot of space as video files are large.
