How Do I Have a White Background When Converting a Photos Slideshow Into a Movie?

Because the pictures have different sizes the movie created by photos slidewhos shows them with a black background.
I would like a white background in the movie. where (in Photos) can make these settings?

or do I have to import the photos into iMovie, make the background white, and make the slideshow in movies?

Doing it in iMovie is one way. You would have a white background as you main timeline, and all of your photos as overlays. It may be easier and quicker to do it in Keynote.
