I selected a piece of video and want to increase the size, or at least show that it is zooming in at that point. How do I do that? Thanks.

You'll need to get creative. It is easy to zoom in an entire clip by selecting the Fit/Crop/Ken Burns tool and cropping to the smaller area you want to zoom to.
But you can use the Ken Burns effect to zoom from one crop to another over a period of time.
I asked a similar Question about how you increase the size of a video, but not in Video In iMovie 11. I had a clip of a video, and i was increasing the size of the number`s but it got smaller. I kept changing the number`s on the video converter, but i ended up with a narrow strip of the video. Example like a TV It`s got 16.2 and other figures to change it to widescreen. The computer is a different kettle of fish, were as the TV is set to these Ratio aspects. I think that`s the right term.
