Just use the macOS built-in password manager. It will automatically suggest passwords when you sign up for sites. It will automatically ask you if you want it to remember passwords when you log into sites you already use. Then it will fill those in for you when you return.
You can access the passwords easily in Safari, Preferences. It will sync across your devices using iCloud.

I like the password generator that gives me the choice of a SYSTEM GENERATED password or using my own password. BUT, if I select the “unhackable” generated password, how do I use it across the multiple devices that I use?

Hwhuyler: If you are using iCloud Keychain, then it syncs across all of your Apple devices.
