How Do I Move Documents From iCloud Back To My Mac?

I Am Leaving the US For several months and will not have access to the internet. Right now all my documents are stored in iCloud. What is the best way to get them back on my Mac?

Thank you.

Do you have enough space on your Mac to store them all? If so, the solution is simple? Just turn off the "Optimize Mac Storage" option in your iCloud settings in Select Preferences. If you already have it off, then you already have everything on your Mac.

The way iCloud works is that it syncs your files with your Macs and iCloud so everything is everywhere. Only if you turn on the "Optimize Mac Storage" option do you get some off-loading so that some larger and older files are only available if you have a connection. So as long as you have that turned off, then you have all of your files there.

Thanks Gary... where exactly on my Mac do I access them? Still in the iCloud Drive folder in the left column of my Finder Window?

Doug: You access them in the same place. That is the only place. The Finder sidebar usually has a shortcut to that folder, but you can get there other ways as well.
