How Do I Search for Files With a Specific Extension?

I want to look for files for example, with the extension MP4. I tried name:*.mp4 and it returned nothing although there are some.

Just try name:.txt, no need for the * as a wildcard.
Or, use Command+F and instead of putting anything in the search box, go right to the Search criteria below it, and use "Name" and "Ends With" and type .txt.
Or, if you want to get really specific, choose "Other..." as the criteria, and look in the long list for File Extension.
