Where can I find info on how to set the default screenshot folder on my iPad (iOS 14.4), please?

You can't. Screenshots on iOS and iPadOS aren't saved as files. They are saved to the Photos library. If you want them as files, you can export them from your Photos library. Or, after you take a screenshot, tap on the thumbnail that appears, then tap the Share button at the top right, then choose Save to Files.

Many thanks, Gary, for solving this mystery, and so promptly.

It’s convoluted but I do the following..
    1. After the screenshot is done and I crop it (if needed) but before letting it save to the photo library.
    2. I select “print”
    3. When the print window appears I two finger spread and “prints” to a PDF file
    4. Save the PDF to files or wherever you want.
    5. CANEL the print
    6. Delete the screenshot.

Maybe one day we’ll a get convenient way to do this like on the MAC.

Gary, While you can't set a default folder, it is easy to save screen shot to a folder on. After taking the screen shot, click on the share button (box with an arrow pointing up), scroll down to "Save to Files". Nest save to iCloud Drive (great if you want to access this image on another device) or save on my iPhone or iPad respectively. Pick the specific file you want to save the screen shot in.
    Hope this helps you.

I don’t know how to change the default location in files, but at least since iPadOS 14 you are given the option of saving to files or Photos after you tap on done. There is no need to do anything convoluted like first saving to Photos then exporting or printing to PDF. Maybe v13 and earlier were different.
