How Do I Stop My macOS Email From Crashing?

I am using IMAP and iCloud for my Mac OS email account. My OS is High Sierra. My mail crasher ever so often. It never did this before I updated my 2011 iMac to High Sierra.

    One thing to try is to simply remove those accounts and add them back, one at a time. Both iCloud email and IMAP email are essentially just showing you the messages on the email server. So disconnecting and connecting again will re-sync everything from scratch.
