How Do I Tidy Up Mail?

How best to tidy up my mailbox? I’m getting WAY TOO MUCH mail.

    Come up with a system that fits your needs. The simplest one, and the one I use, is I get a new email in my inbox, I deal with it (reply, set a reminder, add a calendar even, do something, etc) and then simply archive it. Then my inbox is always empty unless there is something just just came in, and everything is in my archive. If I need to find something I just search. I don’t waste time trying to decide where emails go and how to categorize them.
