How to copy numbers from a PDF into a Spreadsheet?

Is there a way or a tool that will take data on a PDF that’s in a row/column format and copy that into a Spreadsheet and put the data into each cell? Thanks,

This is something that Excel does pretty well, but Numbers does not. Still, it depends on how the PDF is formatted. Sometimes you need to paste it into a text editor and then work with the text a bit, adding tabs in the right places.

Thanks... that's what I have been doing - saving it to a text file, fixing the format and then importing it into Excel - I was hoping that there was a tool that did that.... Thanks.

It sounds like the PDF files aren't formatter quite right then. I've been able to do it with some PDF files. Excel is also great about pasting data from web pages with tables.
If you use a tool like TextWrangler or BBEdit you can always look for consistencies and do find and replace to quickly convert a lot of data. But maybe you are already doing that.

Yes, the file is in a report format - so when I copy the entire report, I have to fix the headers.... however, if I just copy the data, all I have to do is put in the comas and then use Excel to parse them out for me.... It's something new that I am trying...
