How to find wireless router PW for MacBook Pro

I bought a reader, plugged in the PW. Says it’s incorrect. Tried to change PW on my computer. Doesn’t recognize old PW. I know I’ve given it to others to logon to our network.
I’ve gone to ‘security,’ ‘accounts,’ ‘network,’ to no avail.
Thanks for help to locate (and probably change it).

A reader? Not sure what you mean by that.
So it sounds like you probably need to reset your wireless router. If you don't know the password, or at least the admin password, then that's what you'll need to do.
But you never say what type of wireless router you have.
Or, do you mean you simply want to change the password you are using to connect to the router from your MacBook? If it can't connect, then it should prompt you for a new password in that case.
I'd like to help, but I'm not sure of your exact problem. Can you restate it?

I would like to figure out my password too. Just my computer's password - that I had input in the beginning. Even with my hint I can't remember it exactly. Thanks for any help!
