How To Have an Icon for an iCloud File On My iPhone?

I have an inventory list file (xx.numbers) created and managed on my iMac and saved on iCloud.
Sometimes I check and update it from my iPhone.
Would be nice to have a direct, separate icon for this file, instead of always opening the Numbers app-file…

it is not a problem or need, just a comfort question
it would be faster to tap on an icon instead of opening the Numbers app and find the file and open it.

YoU can do that with the Shortcuts app on your iPhone.

Create a new Shortcut. Call it "Open X" where X is the name of the file (or anything you like). Then add a single action to that Shortcut: Open File. Select the file to be the file you want to open. Then select the details for the shortcut (the "i" button at the bottom and select "Add to Home Screen." You can choose a color and icon now. Then tap "Add."

Now you have a handy icon on your Home Screen on your iPhone that opens that file.

See https://macmost.com/10-quick-and-easy-iphone-shortcuts.html for some of the basics for using Shortcuts (though not your specific need). You may get some other ideas there too.

In addition to Gary’s answer, to make data input easier on an iPhone, you can make a form in the spreadsheet and have the shortcut open the form directly.
