How to make a picture Translucent and spin in iMovie

On Youtube Video’s you can see through the youtube logo a little. I tried it in Seashore and I brought it into IMovie. Also I saw on youtube that they had rotating pictures. I was wondering if there was something you knew of on Mac to make the picture translucent and/or spin.

Making it translucent (semi-transparent) is just a matter of exporting a 32-bit image with no background. If you have never created a semi-transparent 32-bit background then you may want to get the help of a friend who is a graphic artist. Photoshop is usually the tool they would use.
Not that the YouTube logo is not part of videos, though, and is just a transparent layer that is on the video player (Flash movie).
To make it spin is harder. Can't do it with iMovie. Can do it with Final Cut Studio X. But you have to know your way around the tool.

I haven't found a way to do the spinning effect in FCP X. However, this is something that can easily be done using Motion 5 (with or without using Key Frames).
