iCal synched with daughter in Florida!!??

I live in Indiana and use an iMac. My daughter uses a MBP and lives in Florida. I am starting to use the iCal…just got a iPhone4s and decided to use the iCal. My daughter found my iCal on her computer!!! Cannot find any sharing of her computer on my computer. Where should I look. No sharing found on iMac or on the iCal program. Good thing my life is essentially an open book. Thanks for having this fantastic site!!!

So you want to create a calendar that you share with someone else. The way to do that would be to use a calendar service in the cloud that you both have access to.
For instance, you could do that with Google calendars (using your gmail account if you have one). Then you can add your Gmail calendar as an account in your iCal preferences on both computers.

Sorry…I do NOT want my iCal calendar to synch with hers!! Cannot figure out why it is doing it…since I never used the iCal before don't have experience on how that occurred and how to stop it!! sorry

Then you must both be using the same "account" -- perhaps a MobileMe account? Look in iCal prefs under accounts.

I think you hit the spot! iCal was on the my MobileMe account…she probably was also. So, do I keep the MobileMe active on my end? What should I tell her? Should I just change passwords on MobileMe?
    Thanks so much

I would do both. Get her to remove your MobileMe account from her computer (both in iCal prefs and in her System Preferences, MobileMe). And also change your password. If you only do the latter, then she'll be bothered by "can't logon" messages until she removes it.
