iMovie audio sped up

So I wanted to do a vid with the visual and sound sped up. I’m using Tiger and iMovie 6 on a G4 Powerbook.

So I sped up the vid in sections according to my idea. The sound track sped up with it, since I didn’t extract it.

Everything was perfect until I played the whole concoction and discovered that there was some noise at the end after a space of no vid and silence. The noise was at the same speed as the final section I’d sped up.

So I extracted the audio track and figured it would extend beyond the video track and I could just delete the extra sound.

But the extra sound does not appear in the display. Both tracks end where the video track ends, even tho the sound can be heard after the video ends.

Can I get rid of the extra sound from within iMovie? I suppose I could send the audio track to Sound Studio and clip it there and then bring it back into iMovie, but that seems excessive.

Try brining the whole thing into GarageBand and edit the audio there.

Uh, what format does it have to be in to bring it into Garage Band? Does the video come with it? To I have to export it to .mov or .mpg4 or such?

Got it. Not sure I'm going to put it on youtube, however!
