iMovie: Closing Title problem with the picture

Saw the latest Podcast on making cool ending credits. I put a picture in my credits but it shows as a black screen.
Any Idea why?

    DId you just try one picture? Try another. Perhaps that format isn't quite working. Try one from iPhoto, and try one from your desktop. Try a jpg. Experiment and try to troubleshoot the problem and see what you come up with.

      Thanks Gary. I think the pictures need to be in JPEG format. I posted another question as i could not find this question so please ignore it.
