When I was still using an Android phone, I could take a photo, immediately hit the share button and choose Twitter. So I was a bit surprised to discover than on iOS, I have to exit the camera and open the Photos app, select the photo I just took and tweet it from there. This is a lot of extra steps, which seems inconsistent with Apple’s way of doing things. Is there a faster way of doing this that I’m just missing?

In iOS 5 you take a photo. Then tap the photo icon on the bottom of the screen to view it (otherwise you are in the mode to take another photo). Then Tap share. Then Tap Tweet.
So it seems that is the same thing you are describing.
