Checking “Internet Plug Ins” folder in my Library, QuickTime plugin is in the “Disabled Plug-ins” folder. Is it incompatible with El Capitan? Is there an update of the plugin I need to install? Thanks.

You don't need a QuickTime plugin anymore. Video is supported as part of the HTML5 standard now.
That said, it is possible for an old and outdated website to check for a Quicktime plugin or insist that its video be displayed using the old plugin. Hopefully you won't run into that. If you do, you may want to contact the website owner and let them know their site needs some work.
But to answer your question, no, there is no longer a supported Quicktime plugin.
Gary,
Found this and it worked. Simply moved the two files into the Internet Plugins folder and the video played using Quicktime.
Steve, when you say: "Found this and it worked. Simply moved the two files into the Internet Plugins folder and the video played using Quicktime." what is:
'this"? What did you find and put in the Internet Plugin folder?
Thanks, Nate
