Gary while installing iTunes 10.5, I read wireless sync : Sync Iphone Ipod Imac etc when on same wifi network.
Does it mean that the photos, address book ical will only sync across all when on the same wifi network ?

Yes, you naturally need to be on the same wireless network to use wireless sync. But you can still use the dock cable to sync the old way too. And if you are using MobileMe/iCloud syncing then that works as before.
It is just that now you don't have to connect the dock cable to backup and sync your iOS device to your Mac, you can do it through wifi.
Ok thanks !!
This is gonna be great!!
in iTunes, when i plug in my iphone, i have the option to wirelessly sync. however, when i plug my ipad, i no longer have that option listed. how do i correct this?
thanks
You have to turn on wireless syncing. Look on the Summary page for the device in iTunes.
i do not get that option in the Summary page. what i discovered is that i need to upgrade my mac from Leopard to at least Snow Leopard before itunes will give me that option in the summary page.
