Forum Question: iTunes apps updating not working

iTunes tells me it has apps to update (4 right now) but when I click the “Updates Available” links at the bottom of the window, the “My App Updates” screen tells me “No Updates Available. Check Again Later.” Clicking Store, Check for Available Downloads results in a message telling me “All purchases have been downloaded for this account.”

Any ideas?

It sounds to me like the update is working, it is just erroneously reporting that you still need them. Try just quitting iTunes and restarting it.

iTunes updated this morning, and cannot pull up a radio station and have had no sound since. I rebooted several times, turned I-Mac OS X 10.6.4 off, tried everything, but cannot get a radio station or sound. I use radio all day, and need sound – what can I do??? Help.

Have you checked the basics: like sound volume in both iTunes and the System Preferences? Have you tried it with headphones plugged in (as a test)? Does any sound come out of the computer — like from Web pages (YouTube videos, maybe). Or, system alert sounds.

When I purchased my new MacBook Pro, I was assigned a new apple ID, and I was unable to merge the new and old accounts together. Any apps I downloaded under my original ID will show as having updates available, but when I click to download them it gives the exact same message you are getting, since I am logged in to iTunes in my new ID. Log into your alternate iTunes account (assuming you have one) then check the available updates, and you should be able to download those updatse.
