Mac OS X – Opensource (MacBreak)

Hi Gary,

In the latest MacBreak Weekly Episode they (Leo Laporte, Andy Ihnatko, Alex Lindsey) discussed whether or not Apple will opensource Mac OS X in the future or not… Of course, they also talked about other things concerning OS X.

My question: Do you like the idea of an opensource OS X, or do you think it’s a bad idea?

Btw, if anyone else wants to voice their opinion, go right ahead! :d

Of course I like the idea of an open source Mac OS X. Why would I be against it?
But I don't see why Apple would make such a move.

I know some who don't like the idea of OS X being open source. Some claim that OS X would suffer from the same issues as windows does when it comes to running on all kinds of hardware -- I think that's bullocks. They're completely different beasts. Some don't like it because more people would use it and hackers would start targeting the Mac a lot more.
