for some reason my mail program in my mbp is not working well.
i am talking about the audio notification. i am using a different audio file. so when ever i get an email that audio file starts.
in my mac mini thats working fine. but in my mbp it is not working perfectly, sometimes the audio starts other times it doesn’t
i have tried several files and still its not working properly.
can you please tell me how to fix this.

That's a tough one. If it works sometimes and not others and you have tried multiple files, then it can't be a setting that you have wrong. I'd have to say it will be hard to diagnose remotely.
