Making Sections After the Fact?

Can sections be created after a pages document has been finished?

I have a document (possible book with text and photos) nearly complete. Overlooked sections when building the document but now realize it would have made making changes easier. If so, how? Thank you.

Yes. Just place the cursor in the body text where you want the section, and choose Insert, Section Break.
Section breaks are just like page breaks, but they indicate the start of a new section as well.

I placed cursor in last line of text on a page. Went to "Insert" but there was no "Insert section" option. Line break and column break are available but no section break available. Running Monterey 12.2.1 and Pages 11.2.

William: Is it a Word Processing or Page Layout document?

Probably page layout as I am using a template constructed by a genealogist and sent to me.

William: Ah, well there you go. Sections are for word processing documents. No need for them in page layout documents as you can rearrange pages as you like.

Ah so. Many thanks. Learning a lot!
