Forum Question: Manta stone Bluetooth and viber

I have a Jabra stone Bluetooth wireless headset that is compatible with the iPad and iPhone. Unfortunately I am unable to use my Bluetooth for my viber calls and soups from the iPad. Pls advice. Thank you

I would try to contact the company’s support. I don’t know what “viber calls and soups” are — something special that the headset does with an app from that company?

Viber is one of those make free calls apps using wi-fi and 3GS for the iPhone.

If you look at their information on the iPhone in the Apps Store you’ll note it says that iPod Touch and iPad support are almost here.

I would submit your Bluetooth isn’t working because Viber doesn’t support your iPad as yet.

This is a member of Viber’s Development Team!

Viber does support most Bluetooth/headset devices. Some are not supported due to the restrictions within iPhone itself (not all headsets are compatible with 3rd-party applications, only with iPhone app itself). We have fixed Viber in our lastest version so MOST of the BT/headset devices do work, but unfortunately some others are just not compatible with 3rd-party applications, as I wrote.

Hi member of the viber development team! My problem is that when i connect my headset to the iphone4 and have a viber call, the phone is not ringing. Only the screen is flashing to notify you about this call. When I disconnect the headset, the phone is ringing. Other than that, I chat normally with the headset. the only issue is the phone not ringing.

I use Viber on my HTC Desire (Android) and it was working before fine with my Jabra Wave BT. Though I see that after the last update, there is no choice to enable BT in the Settings, it was obviously removed for some reason. Now BT is not working with Viber (and before it was working fine). I am sorry, I know this is for iPhone users, but thought just to share my xp.

How do I activate my jawbone gen 3 Bluetooth headset. I have just installed viber but the bt doesn’t work

Follow the instructions that come with the headset. If that doesn’t work, then contact the manufacturer for support.

The Bluetooth headset works fine with the iPhone gsm. It does not work with the viber. When i get a viber call although the bt icon is on (blue color) the viber incoming screen only has the speaker/call botton. How can I fix it?

I don’t know. Contact Viber (but read their post above first).
