MobileME as Webhosting?

Hi, Gary, I just registered a domain name because I would like to have my Website; However, I would like to know, please, if I can use my MobileMe to host my website and, in positive case, can I use my own domain name? How??? Thanks

Yes. You can. You can use MobileMe to host, and iWeb to build your site. I only recommend doing so for personal or just-for-fun sites, nothing professional.
    See episode 204: http://macmost.com/setting-up-a-personal-domain-with-mobileme.html
Then look at iWeb and all the documentation too:

Oh, why would it be good for a professional site? I was thinking of either one of those sites people have that's sort of like an enhanced résumé with pics and video. Or a site selling your professional services when you would collect payment in person. I think with MobileMe hosting it's difficult to take payments via PayPal?

For a business site, I imagine using MobileMe wouldn't work because you wouldn't be able to accept payments, either via PayPal or via credit cards. Those little mini programs embedded in websites to accept payment wouldn't work.

Sometimes MobileMe sites don't work properly in all browsers. They are hard to update. They are very hard to use with multiple users. It is hard to add any functionality outside of what iWeb offers.
Using a CMS is just a much better all-around solution.
