I just bought a new refurbished imac. I have 256 GB of movies and music on an external 1 TB drive. How do I move this to my imac from my windows machine?
By the way I ordered your book. I am looking forward to using it to help make my mac transition easier.

If the drive is an external USB drive, then just try plugging it in to your Mac. It should work. If you have a large drive on your Mac and simply want to copy those files on to your Mac, then after connecting it, just drag-and-drop the music and video files into iTunes.

I was concerned about the Mac being able to read the windows format. Will I be able to write additional music and movies to that drive without reformatting?
