My MacBook Pro had liquid spilled in it

i bought it on e-bay, and the power does not come on:
the apple store told me the FSI gauge tripped, so they know there’s been liquid in it.
of course, the warranty cant work:
Thats a MacBook Pro 13″ mid 2010.

what should i do?
should i try to fix it?
the apple store told me it would cost me 85o$ just in parts to try to fix it, and that its not worth it.

should i just try to sell it for the parts?
where?

thanks

I don't know what your experience level is for hardware repairs. But I assume since you are asking, that you have little or no experience.
So your options are to take it to a Mac repair shop (not necessarily an Apple store) and get another estimate. Then decide if that is worth it.
If not, then recycle it and buy a new one.
I don't see how you can get a decent return selling the parts. Probably better to work minimum wage than to spend the time taking it apart, accessing the value of parts, putting it up for sale and shipping the orders.

Too funny thread. Hate it when e-bay transactions don't work out and they have your "money for junk"
Also hate it when someone can't find a charger...

I have had issues with a bad product before. Ebay has a buyer protection policy. You might want to check out if your issue is covered. Go to customer support, under item not as described. If it doesn't work, it isn't as described. (Unless they said it didn't work, in which case why did you buy it?) Good luck, hope that helps.
