Night-screen Mode In Mountain Lion

Until ML, Control + Option + Command + 8 used to allow switching to night screen mode, which I found useful especially in Mail as I found it easier on the eye; this seems now to have disappeared or is now a different shortcut that I don’t know about. Could you help?

It is still there, but you may simply has to turn it on again.
Go to System Preferences, Keyboard, Keyboard Shortcuts. Then click on the Accessibility category on the left. Then check "Invert Colors." Keyboard shortcuts won't work unless they are checked.

There's also a new menu system for enabling/disabling accessibility features in Mountain Lion so that there is no need to memorise numerous keyboard shortcut, just press Command, Alt and F5.
