I don't know whether iPhoto can control cameras, but Image Capture can. I'm not aware of any list of which cameras work and which do not, however.
Yes it is Image Capture I was thinking about. When I am looking at camera's do I need to check the box to see that it says Mac OS X compatible? How will I know? Thanks......
No. All cameras should work with Macs. But I'm not sure there is any way to determine if they work with Image Capture.
