Replacing my damaged Mac Laptop Hard Drive

I have a 2.65Ghz 17″ Titanium Laptop with a Hitachi 160GB 5400RPM 8MB Buffer SATA 2.5″ Hard Drive that recently went bad. I would like to replace it and possible upgrade the drive but I am not sure what drives are compatible with my Laptop and I don’t want to damage it more by choosing the wrong one.
Can someone give an idea what would be a good replacement with more storage?

You have a G4 Titanium MacBook Pro? Wow, that's old. It will be hard to find a good replacement drive. I would suggest just upgrading to a new machine. Even the most basic MacBook today will be many times better than a G4 Titanium.
And I'd imagine that the cost of finding, replacing and installing the drive just won't be worth it.
But if you really want to, I'd look for a local Mac shop and ask them.
