How are you importing them into iTunes, exactly?
I think that dragging and dropping files onto the icon in the Dock or the Application icon will both import and play them. But dragging them into the library on the left sidebar inside iTunes should just add them.
Again i do not know much about iTunes. I just drop the the album or a music video into the iTunes application. I get all my art work off my vinyl and CD collection. What annoys me is when iTunes gets them mixed up,and then i start to type in the name of the album and the artist. I keep getting prompted and a drop down says something,and this supposed to be under the advanced section. All i am doing is typing the bands name,and the name of the album,and it plays them when i want them to play.
