Sync Nokia to Iphone 4

I’ve just got an Iphone 4. My old phone’s a Nokia E75. I need to sync my contacts to the Iphone somehow but the Nokia PC Suite doesn’t work on my macbook. I can’t figure out how to transfer directly since my Iphone isn’t reading the Nokia via bluetooth for some reason. Any tips or links to tips?

You may be out of luck there. If the Nokia sync software only works on Windows, then you'll need to get a Windows machine to get that data from it. Then transfer to your Mac. Then import into Address Book. Then sync. Every step of that could have potential problems.
You could try to take the old phone to an expert or service to have them get the contacts data from it. Have them save it to vCard format. Then maybe import into Address Book. But I know nothing about that Nokia phone or its software, so I don't know how possible it all is.

Oh damn! Will trudge accordingly, then. Could you also tell me how to get free apps for Iphone? Since I'm in India, app store is out of bounds for me. I basically need most urgently to be able to read some of my iwork/office documents which I'll copy from macbook to the iphone.

Without access to the App Store, you won't be able to get any apps. Why does being in India make the app store out of bounds?

Please check iNoki at: http://www.nokisoft.com/inoki. It's an iPhone app which can extract and import data in .NBU file created by Nokia PC Suite. All phonebook, sms, calendar, photo, audio, videos can be imported.
