I would like to get a text expansion package. There is a lot of disagreement about the quality of the different solutions available.
Does anyone have a recommendation? I’m on 10.8.2 and use a MacBook Pro with 8GB memory.
Many thanks!

I have used both TypeIt4Me and Text Expander and both seemed to work fine. But using something like that doesn't work for me, personally, so my experience is limited.
You can also do basic text substitutions just using OS X, without any additional software.

Gary - thanks for continuing to add value. I am a loyal follower of many years. You make my Mac world much better. Thanks for these tips and for all the others.
For years I have favored digital over paper documents - so when the iBook Paperless came out, I was interested. That book lead me to TextExpander which I now find useful in many ways.
Many thanks Gordon - I appreciate the guidance.
