What Recording Process Do You Recommend for Recording Meeting Discussions?

This is a 2 part question:
• Attended Meeting
When I attend a meeting, can you recommend what software I use or a process for recording the meeting on my MacBP and/or iPad.
• Conference Call Meeting
When I attend a meeting via a conference call, using my iPhone, is it possible for me to record the meeting? If so, how do I go about it?

I'm hardly an expert on this as I rarely need to attend meetings online. I've done a few presentations remotely using a variety of software: FaceTime, Zoom, Skype, Google Hangouts/Meet. But usually someone else is running the show and I am just joining.

So I can't really recommend one over the other. I have used Zoom a few times recently for social gatherings and we use it to record the TEH Podcast. So if I needed to hold a meeting right now I'd probably go with that.

As for recording, I would just use the built-in recording function of the software. Zoom has that built-in. I assume other pro meeting systems have it as well.

As for recording on the iPhone, I would guess that you need to use the recording function in the app you are using. If you are talking about recording a regular phone call in the Phone app, you can't really do that. Google it and you'll find alternative calling systems that you can use to make the call (on a different phone number) and record it. They usually cost something and I've never used one. But if this is for business use I would assume you can see what is available, sign up for a service, and then start using it.

Sorry I can't be of more help on this.

Unfortunately, I understand the response re: iPhone.

On the at meeting question, I was referring to attending in person, not on line - should I record via Garage Band, Quick Time, some other software program - I take my MacBP and iPad to the meeting. Just want a voice recording. The meetings normally last from 21/2 to 4 hours.

    Thanks again,

Bill: In-person meetings? I have heard of such things in legends of the past. :) I would just use the Voice Memos apps to record, either on the Mac or iPhone.
