I just purchased Rosettastone and i would like to put a translation widget on my desk top how can i do this with out all the other widgets popping up i would like it to stay on my desktop so i dont have to keep opening it up .

You can't. All desktop widgets appear together as part of dashboard. So if they developed a dashboard widget, then it would be part of the dashboard. They can change it to a stand-alone application, which would fix the problem, but that is up to the developer. Contact them and see if they have that, or plan on doing that in the future.
